 There
are numerous ways in which you can help to raise
awareness about the target grops NSHC is working
with, and help to bring about change. The two main
areas are:
1. Promoting the work of NSHC
Promotion
of
NSHC can be done in many ways - it can be as simple
as putting our link on your web site, or telling
your family and friends about our work. You can also
display our posters or hand out our leaflets and
other material. You may even set up a society or
group in your university or local area to fundraise
/ volunteer on a collective basis about issues that
concern you. Spread
the word: make your family aware about the situation
for Roma and the elderly in Vojvodina; inform your
friends about the risks of HIV/AIDS and how to avoid
infection; encourage your colleagues to make a
donation or to buy their Christmas gifts from the
NSHC online shop. All of these activities help to
disperse the word throughout the community about
issues which together we can overcome.

2. Fundraising
There are numerous ways in which you can raise funds
for our projects, whether locally or from abroad.
Fundraising is not only for a good cause but it can
also be fun! You can organize car boot sales, coffee
mornings, fancy dress parties, football tournaments
or raffles. Or you can take part in sponsored
activities, such as sponsored bike rides, dog walks,
haircut, no-smoking or silence. Why not get more
people involved? That way you can raise more money
but it is also a great way of meeting like-minded
people.
